Feeding Therapy

Infants and children traditionally gain their nutrition through eating and drinking. It can be very worrisome as a parent when your child is experiencing nutritional concerns, growth concerns, unsafe swallowing, fear around foods, and/or poor eating habits. The ability to bite, move and chew food requires a significant amount of coordination of the lips, tongue and jaw. Feeding therapy focuses on creating positive meal time routines, improving oral sensorimotor feeding patterns, and empowering intuitive eating patterns in the child.
